CAFOD Fast Day

This year (as usual), we will be supporting CAFOD on Fast Day. Their slogan this year is ‘Walk With Us’, and Nursery staff have thought of a great way to do that. They will be taking a walk around the locality, dressed nice and brightly, so no uniform that day. Nursery staff are asking each child to make a donation of 50p, which will be sent to CAFOD. They will be putting some posters up in the nursery yard, to give you more information.

In school, there will be no hot dinners on Fast Day. Children can bring a packed lunch, or they can join the Harvest Fast Day Lunch for the price of their usual school dinner (£1.80). We will be having harvest soup and bread, using some of the produce reared by Mrs Vella and her gardening helpers, all of the money raised will go to CAFOD.

Children will be watching the CAFOD slideshows next week and they will have a special assembly on Friday, we hope that they will all join the Fast Day Lunch and Walk With Us!
