In September 2009, the new Community Centre will be opened and it will be managed by a committee made up of members of the community. The Interim Management Group is a project, it’s overarching aim is to establish a group equipped to manage the new joint school and community facility for the benefit of local residents and community based organisations.

“The role of the IMG will be to discuss and agree the decision making structures and arrangements that will govern the management of the community-led facility; and oversee the development of the administration and management systems and procedures that will enable the effective and efficient operation of the community-led facility.”

The IMG is looking for a couple of parents to be part of this project. If you are interested, please come along to the Area Panel meeting in the school hall on Thursday, it starts at 6.00pm, you’ll be able to find out more.  Otherwise, you can write a note to Mrs Rigby offering your services! If we have lots of volunteers, there will be an election.
